Security-Luebke Roofing Donates $100,000 for Breast Cancer Research to the Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin Cancer Network
MILWAUKEE (Feb. 16, 2024)
The Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin Cancer Network received a $100,000 donation from Security-Luebke Roofing, Inc. When the Appleton-based roofing company wanted to give back to the community, it polled staff on health concerns most important to them. Breast cancer was a common theme. More than 10% of the company’s employee base had a loved one affected by breast cancer.
Security-Luebke Roofing chose to invest its gift in the Froedtert & MCW Clinical Cancer Center at the Froedtert Hospital campus to support breast cancer research. “We are grateful for Security-Luebke Roofing’s generosity,” said Tina Curtis, vice president of Froedtert & MCW Cancer Services. “Breast cancer research is a critical component to providing improved treatments, outcomes and access to breast cancer care for everyone in Wisconsin.” “Security Luebke Roofing has always been intentional about giving back to the community, increasing our impact every year,” said Shannon Alberts, owner and president. “This year, we wanted to go larger than just Northeast Wisconsin. Once I realized how many of our employees’ lives have been impacted by breast cancer, the choice was obvious. Our employees responded; then, the community responded, and we were so excited to raise $100,000 in the October promotion.”
